Scriptures with the word Sabbath.
Realize that God talks
about the Sabbath in many ways, not just Sabbath. When He mentions the
commandments or command He is saying God Commandments which contain the
7th day Sabbath.
Example: John 14:15
"If you love Me,
you will
keep My
commandments.
God's commandments have been changed by man only 1 time in 6,000 years. Mark
7:7-9
- Genesis 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended His
work which He had made; and He rested on the seventh
day from all His work which He had made.
- Genesis 2:3 And God blessed
the seventh day, and sanctified
it: because that in it He had rested from all His work which God
created and made.
- Exodus 16:23 And He said unto them, This is that
which the LORD has said, To morrow is the rest
of the holy Sabbath
[seventh day] unto the LORD: bake that which you will bake to day, and
seethe that you will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for
you to be kept until the morning.
- Exodus 16:25 And Moses said, Eat that to day; for
to day is a Sabbath [seventh day] unto
the LORD: to day you shall not find it in the field.
- Exodus 16:26 Six days you shall gather it; but on
the seventh day, which is the Sabbath

- Leviticus 23:38 Beside the Sabbath
of the LORD, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and
beside all your freewill offerings, which you give unto the LORD.
- Leviticus 23:39 Also in the fifteenth day of the
seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you
shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be
a Sabbath, and on the eighth day shall
be a Sabbath.

[seventh day] he shall set it in order before the LORD continually,
being taken from the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant.

and say unto them, When you come into the land which I give you, then

shall rest; because it did not rest in your Sabbath,
when you dwelt upon it.
- Leviticus 26:43 The land also shall be left of
them, and shall enjoy her Sabbaths,
while she lieth desolate without them: and they shall accept of the
punishment of their iniquity: because, even because they despised my
judgments, and because their soul abhorred my statutes.
- Numbers 15:32 And while the children of Israel
were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the
Sabbath day [seventh day].

day two lambs of the first year without spot, and two tenth deals of

the LORD your God commanded you to keep the Sabbath

- 2 Kings 4:23 And he said, Wherefore will you go to
him to day? it is neither new moon, nor Sabbath.
And she said, It shall be well.
- 2 Kings 11:5 And he commanded them, saying, This
is the thing that you shall do; A third part of you that enter in on
the Sabbath [seventh day] shall even
be keepers of the watch of the king's house;

even they shall keep the watch of the house of the LORD about the

- 2 Kings 16:18 And the covert for the Sabbath
[seventh day] that they had built in the house, and the king's entry
without, turned he from the house of the LORD for the king of Assyria.
- 1 Chronicles 9:32 And other of their brethren, of
the sons of the Kohathites, were over the showbread, to prepare it
every Sabbath.
- 1 Chronicles 23:31 And to offer all burnt
sacrifices unto the LORD in the Sabbath,
in the new moons, and on the set feasts, by number, according to the
order commanded unto them, continually before the LORD:
- 2 Chronicles 2:4 Behold, I build an house to the
name of the LORD my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him
sweet incense, and for the continual showbread, and for the burnt
offerings morning and evening, on the Sabbaths,
and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts of the LORD our God.
This is an ordinance for ever to Israel.
- 2 Chronicles 8:13 Even after a certain rate every
day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the Sabbaths,
and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the
year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of
weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.
- 2 Chronicles 23:4 This is the thing that you shall
do; A third part of you entering on the Sabbath
[seventh day], of the priests and of the Levites, shall be porters of
the doors;
- 2 Chronicles 23:8 So the Levites and all Judah did
according to all things that Jehoiada the priest had commanded, and

them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses your servant:

and the exaction of every debt.

- Nehemiah 13:16 There dwelt men of Tyre also
therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the Sabbath
[seventh day] unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem.
- Nehemiah 13:17 Then I contended with the nobles of
Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing is this that you do, and
profane the Sabbath day [seventh day]?
- Nehemiah 13:18 Did not your fathers thus, and did
not our God bring all this evil upon us, and upon this city? yet you
bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the Sabbath
[seventh day].
- Nehemiah 13:19 And it came to pass, that when the
gates of Jerusalem began to be dark before the Sabbath
[seventh day], I commanded that the gates should be shut, and charged
that they should not be opened till after the sabbath: and some of my
servants set I at the gates, that there should no burden be brought in
on the sabbath day.
- Nehemiah 13:21 Then I testified against them, and
said unto them, Why lodge you about the wall? if you do so again, I
will lay hands on you. From that time forth came they no more on the Sabbath

shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings, as he did on
the Sabbath day [seventh day]: then he
shall go forth; and after his going forth one shall shut the gate.
- Hosea 2:11 I will also cause all her mirth to
cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her Sabbaths,

- Matthew 12:1 At that time Jesus went on the Sabbath
day [seventh day] through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred,
and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.
- Matthew 12:2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they
said unto him, Behold, your disciples do that which is not lawful to
do upon the sabbath day [seventh day].
- Matthew 12:5 Or have you not read in the law, how
that on the sabbath days [seventh day]
the priests in the temple profane the sabbath [seventh day], and are
blameless?
- Matthew 12:8 For the Son of man is Lord even of
the sabbath day [seventh day].
Matthew 12:10 And, behold, there was a man which had his hand
withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath

shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not straightway
pull him out on the Sabbath day

and ointments; and rested the Sabbath
